Synovium Surgical

OVERVIEW

A natural derivative of hyaluronic acid, sodium hyaluronate obtained by biofermentation, chemically unmodified, having a high molecular weight. It acts as a lubricant at low frequency, and as a damper of high frequency shocks.

Common Example of Use

Indicated for the symptomatic treatment of joint pain associated with micro repeated trauma that can lead to common fatigue, especially in athletes participating in an intense and prolonged exercise

Features + Benefits

  • Sodium hyaluronate is naturally found in the synovial fluid, and is synthesized by synoviocytes
  • It acts as a lubricant at low frequency, and as a damper of high frequency shocks
  • It relieves pain by reducing the sensitivity of mechano-nociceptive
  • Chondroitin – sulfate is a glycosaminoglycan connective tissue and a component of the cartilage matrix
  • Above all, it is a chondroprotective agent, protect cartilage against enzymatic reactions and damage from free radicals (including nitric oxide released by chondrocytes)
